The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Wednesday, July 1 reveals Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will set her escape plan in motion.
Also coming up, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will make an admission to Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope). Plus, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will set a trap for Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk). And Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will decide to let Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) hire Billy.
Y&R spoilers tease Lily will remind Cane he just got to Chancellor. Bringing Billy in is just inviting trouble. But Cane will say he needs this. “I’ve been through this with Billy and it was one battle after another,” Lily will reply. “Is he different now, you tell me.” Cane will say he’d make it clear to Billy he’s not being offered the top position.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Sally Learns Billy Told His Mom About Funding
Lily will say it’s a risky move and she thinks he wants to do it out of guilt. “If you give Billy an inch, he will just take and take until he gets what he really wants,” she’ll add. However, Cane will not give up. “I think it’ll be a nice gesture for Jill and help patch things between them.” And Lily will relent.
At the GCAC bar, Sally will show Billy a bag with baby clothes in it. She’ll tell him he’s going to be a wonderful father, since he already is one. But he’ll say maybe it’s the one thing he hasn’t screwed up. Sally will ask where that came from. “You just missed Jill,” he’ll reply.
Sally will ask how he feels. Billy will say he’s hurting. “If she had a crown she would have placed it directly on Cane’s head.” Although his mom pointed out she believes in him. After all, she funded Abbott Communications. But he told her he already knew.
“No,” Sally will reply. “Jill insisted that I never tell you.” Billy will say she barely batted an eye. But Sally will say she could pull the plug on Spectra Charles. “You could have just ruined everything for us.” Billy will apologize and he’ll say Jill was very happy to hear they were getting married and having a baby. Then he’ll get a call from Cane, asking if he and Sally can meet him and Lily at Crimson Lights.
Sally and Billy will arrive at the coffee shop and Cane will say he’d like to offer him head of research and development at Chancellor and wonders if he’s interested. “Why me?” Billy will reply. “I don’t know what’s going here and I appreciate your offer…”
But Cane will interrupt, saying he thinks Billy is great at what he does. “I want you here, I think the two of us can do some great things together.” Billy will turn to Sally and ask what she thinks. “I think we should take the time to discuss it and not make any snap decisions,” she’ll reply. Billy will agree and Cane will say that sounds good and they’ll shake on it.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Jack Sends Emergency Message To Him
Meanwhile, Diane will walk into the living room, freshly showered. Dr. Laurence Markham (Jere Burns) will tell her she looks lovely and add her sedatives came in. “Where are they?” Diane will ask and the doctor will tap his jacket pocket.
Dr. Markham will say she can have one pill every night at bedtime. Diane will mention she saw his wine cellar when she was working out downstairs and suggest they have wine with the dinner she’s preparing. So he’ll head down to grab a bottle. Diane will snag the pill bottle and grab a couple of capsules, quickly returning the rest to his jacket pocket.
At Society, Jack will tell Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) a pack of Dobermans came after him as soon as he was on Markham’s property. “But she’s there Kyle, I can feel it in my bones.” He’ll be surprised when Kyle says Markham didn’t show up to meet him and they’ll suspect Patty overheard them.
“We don’t have any idea what they’ve done to her,” Kyle will add, saying he has a really bad feeling about all this. Then Jack will come up with an idea. “A way to use Patty to smoke this guy out.” Kyle will tell him to be careful.
Jack will return home and find a note from Patty, saying she’s in the hot tub. So he’ll look through her purse and grab her phone. He’ll text Dr. Markham, saying she needs his help and to meet her at the usual spot. Then he’ll phone Kyle, who’s in a vehicle on his way to the doctor’s house.
Finally, Dr. Markham will tell Diane he’s sorry but he needs to head out. He’ll say she could eat before he gets back but Diane will say she wouldn’t dream of it. After he leaves, she’ll pull out the sedative capsules and sprinkle two of them on his appetizers. But will her escape plan work?
